Death Clock Write Up

The clock of death, or is it? We each have a clock inside of us that will one day stop working. Are we killing ourselves a little more every day? Everything that we are around, digest, inhale and see is slowly killing us. The moving parts that you see in my project join together to create a machine of self-inflicting death.

Technical:
I did have a lot of difficulties that I overcame while working on this project. When I laid the drawing out with ink on paper, I measured the distance between each moving part to make sure they would all join or connect. I did have to go back into Photoshop a couple of times to add a couple of lines or adjust something.I feel like this project has greatly improved my knowledge of AfterEffects.

I think the way the machine works and connects is nice. I am not sure if I get the concept behind everyone has a clock inside from it though.

I think the background image is a bit blurry. It distracts me from paying attention to the machine.

I really like the visual style of this piece. However, it does look pixelated in the beginning. The transitions look smooth.

Nice design, yet its somewhat pixelated & blurred. I like the figured he looks like a dead man walking!

i see a clock of life...because of the food, a need for a survival. the images seem kind of pixelated, but i think that is the overall texture you are trying duplicate?

- A shame it's not a clock, I was looking forward to seeing a much large, vast comp with several small, subtle pieces to explore. However, the end result seems to be greatly lacking in presentation.

- Though the style of the images are indeed attractive, they can be pushed much farther in depth and scale. With such simple images, various form of light and shadow should be considered and played with.

- Also, sway from the use of found materials. Strive to make everything yourself and do not rely upon Google as source material. The background is lacking, and sway away from the message. No longer is this a clock, but the mechanism of the human body.

- This does not at all work with your concept, and you should consider putting time and effort into your work.
